On 10 July 2026, our Ms Pearl Law Kit-yee, was invited by the Law Association of the Hong Kong University Students’ Union and the Caritas Kwai Chung Residents’ Mutual Aid Centre to speak at a seminar on employees’ rights. During the seminar, she explained Hong Kong employment law and the legal rights of employees. The seminar received an enthusiastic response and was filled to capacity.
Conducted in Cantonese, the seminar covered a range of legal issues relevant to employees, including employment contracts, wages, rest days, statutory holidays, termination of employment and other common employment disputes. The seminar helped participants gain a better understanding of the legal protections available to them.
Ms Law also used practical examples to explain the statutory rights that employees may enjoy in different circumstances, as well as the steps they may take when faced with employment disputes. Participants actively raised questions, resulting in a lively and engaging discussion.
Our firm has always placed great importance on legal education and community service. Through legal seminars and other educational initiatives, we remain committed to promoting practical legal knowledge and helping members of the public understand and protect their rights.
